Although Mars isn't the most luscious planet in the Midgard system, it is a great place for mining rare metals. Therefore, most of Mars' surface is covered with mining colonies.

Ragnarok is a planet on the very edge of the Midgard System. It is a planet operating outside Federation control. Therefore, it is the perfect place for smugglers, slavers and any other type of criminals. The planet is a forest planet. The trees grow tall, easily hiding the villages and cities from prying eyes.

Earth-2 is a failed planet on the edge of the system. Initially almost completely identical to earth, everything changed soon after humans began colonizing it. The planet died without warning. It is now a desolate rock, covered with abandoned colonies and corpses, a perfect spot for scavengers.

Renowned galaxy-wide for their planet's unspoiled beauty, refined culture, and commitment to peace, Bakkaanians work with and around the land to preserve as much of the natural surroundings as they can. It is a peaceful, beautiful planet, where many go to vacation, with its many hotels and beaches.

The planet of Thor is a storm ridden ocean planet, where lightning strikes are as common as it cruel and unforgiving waters. While an unforgiving environment, it's been colonized using giant stilt cities, gaining power from both the raging oceans below and the lightning strikes from above. As the lightning strikes often make the sound of a hammer striking an anvil, the occupants often name them the Strikes of Mjölner.

The planet of Loki differs greatly from it's brothers in the Asgard System, as over the years the UFP had turned it into a ecumenopolis, a planet-wide city. While it's Federation regulated, the city is teeming with crime, enough that the local security force can't catch it all.

Tau Prime is one of the largest shipyards in the galaxy, manufacturing dreadnought sized vessels within months. This is also a planet full of legal, illegal, and prototype upgrades for ships of all sizes.

Irys is an... unusual planet. Considered the stereotypical "Garden World", a world that has an ecosystem optimal for life, and that is quite common. But it's unusual in two ways: One being the fact that it has a .5% higher density than earth.

The other is that Irys' core is exposed as a result of a violent event that took out most of the southern hemisphere.

The remains are still in orbit around the planet, but the ecology on Irys is, surprisingly largely unaffected. The atmosphere around the planet is sustained by, at first, several large trees, often nicknamed "Yggdrasil" by the newer Norse settlers, but now it's resettled, several giant AtmosFacturers, which produces more of the same atmosphere at a steady rate.

Many are baffled at the crater's origin, though it doesn't stop scientists from researching it and settlers settling on it's asteroids.

Settled by one of the wealthiest nations at the time - Mexico -, it was named something else at one point. But after it was rediscovered, it was renamed Madero, after the extremely ineffective leader who's death marked the most violent period in the Mexican Revolution.

Madero's status as a habitable desert planet may not fit such a name, but the violence and illegal activities that happen here might. Run by warring drug cartels, the Federation's inability to establish order in the Imperial System allows the criminal element to flourish.

Populated by various settlements pockmarked across the planet, it is ironically the second wealthiest nation in the system due to the drug trade.

Smugglers and criminals alike often call it the "Mexico of Space". No one knows why, since it's so peaceful down there.

Vierte Reich, a rich, flourishing jungle world with many ruins and many Prehistoric-like creatures, is often considered a "Forbidden Zone" due to the numerous disappearances of hundreds of ships that have landed on the surface, both Federation and independent.

It's baffling, so the Federation is launching an investigation onto what the hell is making these ships disappear.

The Salarian homeworld has been likened to the jungles of Earth: pretty to look at, teeming with life, uncomfortable to live in and dangerous to the unwary.

The only thing on this planet that isn't silver are the Turians. It's all too clear they're made of steel. This is the general human impression of the Turian homeworld Palaven, seen by humans for the first time only recently.

Ryloth, also known as Twi'lek, and Twi'lek Prime, is the harsh, rocky homeworld of the Twi'leks. One side of the planet perpetually faces its sun, and the other remains in darkness, a phenomenon known as tidal locking. The dayside is referred to as the Bright Lands and the night-side is known as the Nightlands.

The planet Rhok, homeworld of the Rhoks, rotates very strangely. Its surface is almost always covered in darkness, and therefore is devoid of most manner of life, save for the nocturnal creatures.

Gallemys is the lush, wroshyr tree-filled home world of the Wookiees.
