Neal sighed, holding a glass of scotch as he looked at the large crowd of the rich at this party. Of course, this was the place for more than just another robbery. A client hired them to steal a diamond being showcased here at the party. Anything else they stole was theirs to steal and pawn as they saw fit. Which he agreed with, but he didn't know how they'd get through this.
He sipped at his scotch as he looked out the window, cars flying by as people went about their business. "Sticks," He said, speaking through his radio. His partner was in another room. They had split up with the plan of Neal holding up the guests as a distraction to Sticks going in and stealing the real diamond. The one on display in the center of the room was fake.
"How's it going man, you close?" When Sticks was close enough, Neal would signal his ship's A.I., Plato, to come down and pick them up. Then he'd rob these people blind.
Fucking rock-paper-scissors. He didn't know why he agreed to play it with Sticks to see who went in to get the diamond while the other mingled with the guests here.
He wanted to crack the safe. Neal finished off his scotch and ordered another.
He was starting to itch from talking to these people. He was born poor and smuggled his way to richdom, it didn't mean he liked hanging out with these people.
The Krogan guards were going to be a problem, but to be fair, there were a fair amount of important Krogan people there mingling with the guests. Chance was they were all going to be a problem.
Great.
Neal took a large gulp of his scotch.
Fucking Rock-Paper-Scissors...

Fucking Rock-Paper-Scissors... Sticks had no desire to crack a safe. He'd much rather hold up the crowd. But, of course, Sticks had to win and end up with the easiest part of the job... Fucking Rock-Paper-Scissor... Crawling around in the ventilation system, bypassing various alarms... It sucked!
"Sticks," came Neal's voice in his communicator as Sticks crawled out of the third ventilation system that day. He grunted in response, reaching a door with an electronic lock on it. He knelt by the keypad and reached into his coat, taking out a decrypter that he plugged into the keypad. Numbers started appearing on the screen, one at a time. "How's it going man, you close?"
“Getting there,” Sticks grunted. He really wanted to be down there, rather than up here. Pulling his blasters on those rich, pompous bastards would have been very fun, after all. “I'm bypassing the umpteenth obstacle.” The six digits finally appeared, and Sticks pushed them on the keypad in the order that they had appeared. The door clicked open, and he made his way inside, finding himself in a completely empty room, with a safe on the wall across from him.
Nodding, Sticks walked over to the safe and spoke into the communicator, “Get started, Neal. I'm almost done here,” he said as he put his decrypter back into his coat and took out a smaller device, which he put on the safe door, turning it on. As he turned the combination wheel, beeps were heard coming from the device.

“Get started, Neal. I'm almost done here,” Neal sighed, finishing off his scotch and cracking his fingers.
"Roger that." He pulled out his blasters and walked to the center of the room. Cracking his neck, he lifted a pistol into the air and fired. The sound of his blaster going off caused the guests to duck, but the Krogan to take notice. He fired at the guards, causing them to take cover and back out of the room to gain some kind of tactical advantage. After they were all out, Neal blasted the door controls, buying him some time.
"All right ladies and gentlemen!" Neal yelled out. "All humans, dispose of your valuables in front of me and then everyone go against the wall! I don't want any trouble, I just want your valuables! I get paid, no one gets hurt!" The Krogan seemed miffed about something...
"Are our valuables not good enough for you, human?!" One of the Krogan dignitaries yelled out. "It's a matter of safety, Krogan, not of value. I'd rather pawn these items and get only money, not a target on my back. You understand, right?"
The Krogan sighed, and walked over to the wall along with everyone else. After everyone's valuables were in front of him, Neal bagged it all and put his hand to his ear.
"Plato, I'm stuffed, pick me up will ya?"
"Of course, sir. At the window?"
"At the window."
Neal fired several shots into the window, the vacuum-sealed port blowing both inwards and outwards. Sirens could be heard faintly in the distance. He walked toward his exit, and looked back. "Alright Sticks, I'm good, meet me on the roof!" As they planned. The Classy Bandit arrived, it's cargo ramp opening. Neal jumped, and turned around and looked at the Krogan guards bursting into the room, armed with shotguns and blasters. Not like they could stop him now.
He fired several times into the room before he ran up to the cockpit.
"Hope you're at the roof, Sticks, 'cause our ride is here!"

With a final beep, the safe clicked open, and Sticks gaped at the massive diamond hidden away in the safe. Coughing, so as to not accidentally giggle from greed, Sticks grabbed the diamond and pocketed it. Then, he ran out of the safe room. Instead of heading back into the air vent, Sticks headed for the stairs. "Alright Sticks, I'm good, meet me on the roof!"
“Roger that, I'm on my way,” Sticks said as he smashed open a door to his right, throwing all caution into the wind as he found a staircase. Good old staircases, no elevators to hack or anything like that, just good old-fashioned running. He encountered a Krogan guard in the staircase, and quickly pulled one of his blasters, planting a bolt between his eyes.
"Hope you're at the roof, Sticks, 'cause our ride is here!"
“Almost there,” Sticks said as he reached the top door, smashing it open and finding himself on the roof of the building, with an excellent view of the city. Walking over to the edge with a calm one wouldn't expect from one running from the law, Sticks looked down and saw the Classy Bandit below. “I'm here,” he spoke into his communicator.
